"Brode et Cartonne" - Editions de Saxe.

J'ai introduit Bernadette CHIFFOLEAU (Bernie) et son cartonnage charmant ici et maintenant j'ai de bonnes nouvelles. Bernie fait son premier livre avec ses amies Isabelle HACCOURT VAUTIER et Nathalie TROIS. 

I introduced Bernadette Chiffoleau (Bernie) and her lovely cartonnage here. ("Cartonnage" is the craft of making and covering boxes if you've not come across the word before.) I now have some wonderful news. Bernie has written her first book with her friends Isabelle Haccourt Vautier and Nathalie Trois!

C'est "Brode et Cartonne" (Editions de Saxe) et il va arriver le 8 février 2012. Il y a 95 pages avec 21 modèles magnifiques. J'adore toutes - particulièrement la boîte à boutons et le coffre de broderies (en couverture). Il est possible de commander ce livre (avec une dédicace si vous le souhaitez) sur son blog.

It's called "Brode et Cartonne" (Editions de Saxe) and will be available on 8th February 2012. It has 95 pages with 21 gorgeous projects. I love them all - especially the button box and the embroidery chest (front cover). You can order the book (signed if you wish) from Bernie at her blog.

Exposition "Tea Patch" - Exhibition "Tea Patch"

J'ai été ravi de recevoir une invitation au vernissage de l'exposition des associations Patchwork et Broderie "Tea-Patch", mais malheureusement je n'ai pas pu y aller. Donc nous avons décidé de visiter le dimanche dernier.

I was delighted to receive an invitation to the private viewing evening of the exhibition of patchwork and embroidery from the "Tea-Patch" association. Unfortunately I was unable to attend that evening so we decided to visit last Sunday.


L'exposition est au Centre Culturel Léopold Sédar Senghor, Port-en-Bessin-Huppain (14).

Les quilteuses avait trois tissus imposés pour être inclus dans un projet (sujet libre et aucune communication.)

The quilters were given three fabrics which were to be included in a project of their choice but without discussing their plans.

L'exposition est ouvert du mardi au samedi de 10 h à 12h et 14h à 18h et le dimanche de 14h30 à 18h du 9 au 30 décembre. Vous avez encore de temps pour le voir!

The exhibition is open between the 9th and 30th December - Tuesday until Saturday from 10am to midday and from 2pm to 6pm and Sunday from 2.30pm to 6pm. You still have plenty of time to go and see it!
