We spent some time, with all the family, near Biarritz in Basque country. We rented a house with a swimming pool. It was lovely to explore a different region of beautiful France and to celebrate James' 30th birthday together.

The place where the chillies looks more like Basque country, but that can't be right, can it!? The little train looks like fun!
It looks like it was a fabulous summer. That chocolate is amazing and the views from the top of the mountain are breathtaking.
It looks beautiful there, and sounds like you had a wonderful time. The chocolate makers are very impressive. All their creations look delicious.
I love that area of France. We have stayed many times at St Jean Pied de Port and visits to Bayonne were a must. Have also been to the Chilli festival at Espelette - not sure if it was the end of Sept or Oct - anyway it was great fun. The first time I tried Chilli chocolate which I now look out for and love.
